
JENNIFER WALECZEK
Pianist Jennifer Waleczek has dazzled audiences in the States and abroad with her sensitive and dynamic approach to the repertoire. She has given numerous recitals in the Chicago and Phoenix areas, Vienna, Prague and New York. While at home in the standard repertoire, Jennifer always keeps her eyes out and ears open for hidden masterpieces and lesser-known gems. She collaborated with the Oracle Piano Society to produce an all-Czech music concert featuring works by Leoš Janáček and Bohuslav Martinů. In addition, she is an enthusiastic new music performer and enjoys working with composers to premier their works. She recently performed Copland’s original Appalachian Spring and Peter Schickele’s Serenade for 11 Instruments with the Cactus Chamber Ensemble in Phoenix.
Dr. Waleczek holds degrees from Northwestern University, the Prague Conservatoire, Czech Republic, and Arizona State University. She has taught at Glendale Community College, Arizona State University, Arizona School for the Arts and Brophy College Prep. She recently moved to Colorado, where she maintains a private studio.
